Thank are a ferocious noise-rock band from Leeds, formed in 2016 from the ashes of the CHUNK DIY collective. Their music fuses anxious disco grooves, harsh noise freakouts, and sprechgesang vocals, drawing inspiration from acts like Pissed Jeans, Lady Gaga, and Nine Inch Nails. Their debut album, Thoughtless Cruelty (2022), was hailed as a "stark observation of human cruelty" and sold out almost immediately, partly due to the single 'Dread' being championed by Steve Lamacq on BBC Radio 6 Music . In 2024, they released I Have A Physical Body That Can Be Harmed, a volatile yet cathartic post-punk record .
